Return / Exchange Policy

The following conditions apply to all merchandise sold by Cameo China and its affiliate branches. Requests that do not meet these conditions will be denied. This policy applies to Cameo China US Inc. and Cameo China Canada Inc. (“Cameo China North America”). For other regions, contact your local branch.

Order of Precedence: For any drop-ship order, the Drop-Ship Orders terms below control over invoice-based timelines or requirements stated elsewhere in this policy.

Standard Orders

  • Written or electronic notice of a return/exchange must be received within ten (10) business days after the invoice date.
  • If returned merchandise arrives at Cameo within twenty (20) business days after the invoice date, the 25% restocking fee is waived.
  • Exceptions: Items not in original, unopened, undamaged condition incur a 25% restocking charge automatically. Items broken in return transit will be deducted from any credit.
  • All return freight and related costs are the distributor’s responsibility. Goods must be securely packaged.
  • Cameo requires clear photos or videos of the items and packaging before any authorization is issued.
  • Fraud Prevention: Cameo may refuse or permanently restrict returns from any account submitting false, exaggerated, or unsubstantiated claims.

Drop-Ship Orders

  • The dealer must notify Cameo China within 14 days after delivery to the final destination listed on the purchase order. Late requests are not accepted.
  • Items must be unused, brand new, and in original, unopened packaging.
  • The dealer (or customer) must submit clear, time-stamped photos of product and packaging for review before authorization. Cameo may request an unboxing video to verify claims.
  • All return/exchange shipping and related costs are charged to the dealer. Dealer may recover such costs from their customer. Exception: Cameo error.
  • No claims are accepted for damage caused by improper handling, storage, or repackaging by the dealer or end customer.
  • Returns for buyer’s remorse, ordering errors, or color/lighting variance will not be accepted.
  • Cameo may deny or suspend return privileges for any account suspected of fraudulent activity or abuse.

Product Verification

  • Distributors and end users must verify carton count and product condition immediately upon delivery.
  • Record any exceptions on the carrier waybill at time of signing; failure to do so may result in claim refusal.
  • Report transit damage to the carrier and Cameo China within 48 hours of delivery, including clear photos of damaged cartons and a detailed item count.
  • Cameo may reject any claim that cannot be verified via documentation, carrier records, or inspection.

Drop-Ship Packaging & Handling Policy

Special Packaging & Handling Fee

A $5.00 per carton packaging and handling fee applies to all drop-shipping orders, regardless of the courier used — including shipments handled through Cameo China’s carriers or dealer-arranged courier accounts (e.g., UPS, FedEx, Canpar, Purolator).

This fee covers the additional materials and labor required for extra packaging and protection to help ensure safe delivery of fragile dinnerware products.

Notes:

• The $5.00 fee is separate from any freight charges billed by the carrier.

• The fee is charged to the dealer, not the end customer, and is non-waivable except in cases of Cameo China error.

• Cameo China assumes no liability for loss or damage once the shipment has been collected by the carrier.

Product Decoration Advisement

Cameo China guarantees its dinnerware only in its original factory-produced state. If any product is modified in any manner (including but not limited to third-party decoration, printing, re-glazing, or kiln re-firing), all implied or explicit guarantees become null and void as of the moment of modification.

Scope: This section applies to products sold by Cameo China US Inc. and Cameo China Canada Inc. (“Cameo China North America”). Policies may vary by region; contact your local branch for details.

Cameo China North America is not responsible for any performance issues (including color change, surface cracking, chipping, or failure) that occur after products are altered from their original factory-produced state.

Open-Case Policy

NOVEMBER 1, 2025

Scope: Applies to products sold by Cameo China US Inc. and Cameo China Canada Inc. (“Cameo China North America”). Regional policies may differ.

  • Minimum Order: one (1) dozen per SKU.
  • Items packed 1–6 dozen per case: add a 10% surcharge to the list price before discount.
  • Items packed > 6 dozen per case: no surcharge.
  • Eligibility: Due to elevated breakage risk, open-case orders are not eligible for drop-ship service.

Sample Product(s) Guidelines

Objective: Ensure customers can confidently select the most suitable product(s) for their needs.

Scope: Applies to products sold by Cameo China US Inc. and Cameo China Canada Inc. (“Cameo China North America”). Policies may vary by region.

Policy: Cameo dinnerware samples are provided free of charge. To request a sample, please complete the online Sample Request Form in full; incomplete requests cannot be processed.

  • Consultation: We recommend engaging a Cameo Sales Team member to focus each sample request and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Shipping: Outbound shipping may be charged at cost depending on destination.
  • Ownership: Samples remain Cameo China property and must be returned or placed in an approved dealer display within 30 days unless otherwise authorized.
  • Custody: Dealers are responsible for loss or damage to samples while in their possession.
  • Cameo may decline sample requests from accounts with excessive, unreturned, or misused samples.

  • Use of Data: to process orders, improve services, provide support, and prevent fraud/abuse.
  • Sharing: limited to service providers, authorized dealers (for product inquiries), and legal obligations.
  • International Transfers: where data is transferred internationally, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses).

Definitions

  • Dealer: an approved reseller authorized to represent Cameo China to end customers.
  • Drop-Ship Order: an order shipped by Cameo China directly to the end customer on behalf of a dealer.
  • Dealer-Arranged Courier: a shipment where the dealer’s own UPS/FedEx/Canpar account is used for pickup and billing.
  • Fraudulent Claim: any intentionally false or misleading statement, image, or return intended to obtain unauthorized credit or replacement.
