A MOMENT FOR REFLECTION
As members of our great Canadian society we are facing an unprecedented situation in our lives and the lives of everyone around us. How we act and how we find ways to help our families as well as others in our communities will be our legacy.
Especially vulnerable are the children. Their lives have changed and adjustment is not easy. Let us take the time to comfort them and reassure them that their concerns are real, but together we will persevere.
Let us make Halloween, that special “sweet” time for all kids, as festive and fun as we can. Yes our lives have changed, but let’s not lose the joy and excitement children bring to our lives. Let’s enjoy the time we can spend together as families and neighbours and remember that help and support can be as simple as a “hello” or a special Halloween celebration.
The future will be different than the one we had imagined last year. A new future can bring new priorities for renewing our dedication to ourselves and our families. We now fully understand that those around us, near and far are an integral part of our existence and our shared experience. Let us make the best of today and work towards a better and rewarding future.
